Fall Semester 2009:

JCCC Model UN team will be returning to the American Model United Nations conference (AMUN)
in Chicago Nov. 20-24, 2009. The team will be representing Cuba and
Jamaica.

Spring Semester 2010:

Looking for responsible and dedicated students for Spring 2010.
Course meets each Wednesday night 6:00-8:50 p.m.
Students must have at least a  2.5 GPA
Limited class size is 12 students.  Course transfers and fulfills JCCC diversity requirement. 
Excellent research, writing and public speaking skills are preferred.
Students will travel to Model United Nations conferences in St. Louis and New York City plus manage local Metro Kansas City Model United Nations conference at JCCC.

Caveats:

  1. Prior to travel students are required to attend preparation classes,
  2. Students will contribute to the cost of this experience; the amount for travel to St. Louis and New York City is $250 fee plus cover costs of your own food.
  3. All participants will abide by the JCCC Students Rights and Responsibilities Student Code of Conduct and the guidelines set forth by the agency being served.
  4. Participation requires research, writing and public speaking skills, Internet navigation and use of e-mail.

JCCC Model UN will be returning to the Mid-West Model United Nations conference is St. Louis Feb. 16-20, 2010. The team will be representing United Kingdom and Australia.

JCCC Model UN will be returning to the National Model United Nations conference in NYC March 26 April 2, 2010. The team will be representing Nigeria.

Metro Kansas City Model United Nations conference April 21, 2010 JCCC campus
